Hey guys! It’s Bex from Butcher’s Niche again. I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend and lots of time with family and friends. Today I wanted to share one of my favorite recipe that I made for our Thanksgiving meal – Cranberry Apple & Orange Relish.

This year my husband and I hosted our first Thanksgiving with both sides of our families. It was a success not only because it went well, but because we learned so much as we went along. The most important lesson on how to be accommodating. Stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy . . . all things I wouldn’t miss at a Holiday meal. But my sister would be upset if there was no stuffing, both dad’s would be upset without cranberry sauce, and my mom would miss the gravy. Sometimes for family we have to step outside of our comfort zone – kitchen and recipes included – to make everyone feel welcomed and loved. To me that’s what the Holidays are all about – putting your differences behind you, pushing the tension down for some, and enjoying a loving holiday with your family.
For me that means learning to make cranberry sauce . . . luckily it’s just as easy as it is pretty.
