The easiest s’mores ever! Four simple ingredients and no heat involved are sure to make for four happy mouths – or one, your choice!
I’m a dipper.
Chips & salsa, strawberries & chocolate, french fries & ice cream. If it’s dippable, it’s going in.
I can also be pretty lazy, and if I feel like having a banana with peanut butter, chances are I’ll dip it in the jar before dirtying a knife.
This presents a problem, because peanut butter is so thick, and bananas can be so soft and easily breakable. And, for some reason, there are people out there who don’t like banana-flavored peanut butter.
Weirdos.
These Easy Peanut Butter Banana S’mores came to me in a dream. Well, a daydream, anyway. I was searching my kitchen one day last week, looking for a quick, easy snack I could throw together for an impromptu get together my hubby and I were having, and I found a jar of marshmallow cream shoved in the back of the pantry.
I thought about making some sort of dip, but I was out of cream cheese, and didn’t have too many foods we could actually dip, anyway.
Then I saw the chocolate graham crackers that I’d bought on sale last month in anticipation of making a pie of some sort, and they were just begging to be used.
From there, it was pretty much daydream central. The s’mores took shape in my brain originally without the banana, but adding them ended up being just the right touch.
I slapped it all together – the non-lazy way, mind you – and ended up with the easiest, crunchiest, halfway-healthy little sweet snack. It was almost like summer over the campfire, except it’s winter, and we were indoors with the heat on, chatting over candles.
We have really good imaginations.
Hmm. I think I just figured out what kind of pie I’m going to make now with the rest of those graham crackers!
