Nutella Oreo Mousse

Hey y’all! It’s Madison from The Wetherills Say I Do! If you’re stopping by from my blog, stick around a while, I think you’ll find some incredible posts. After having a really crazy few weeks, I was itching to get back in the kitchen this past weekend. Dinner and dessert were on the menu for Friday night, but unfortunately the dinner was less than worthy of reporting. But you take risks and sometimes things don’t work out! 🙂

After being on a kick of fruit desserts lately, I knew it was about time to make a dessert my husband would love. Something rich and chocolatey but still light and refreshing. That’s when I came up with the idea for this nutella mousse. I wanted to call it a no-bake cheesecake but we decided since there’s no cream cheese, that might be misleading. But it’s just as good as any no-bake cheesecake.

Whatever you want to call it, it’s dang good, y’all. And as an added bonus, it’s so simple. I’m talking ten ingredients or less kind of simple. Oreos, butter, nutella, whipped cream, vanilla and chocolate chips for garnish (optional).

One of the best parts about this dish is you can make a large dish of it or small individual dessert dishes that are perfect for parties or showers. I used to think that there was a special set of recipes that were only “party foods” but I’ve realized more and more that the best recipes are ones that can be tweaked to accommodate various sets.

You could easily add more nutella to make this even more creamy and filled with hazelnut goodness. I liked this blend between the nutella and whipped cream. I usually don’t like whipped cream at all, but adding it to the nutella just makes this dessert light and airy.

Are you a fruity dessert person or a chocolatey dessert person? I normally lean towards fruit desserts, but if I have enough desserts like this, I might have to switch teams!
